“I thought the pupils from La Réunion and Spain were all really lovely and kind. They were really generous and friendly. I found that particularly the pupils from Spain were really ready to try anything and some of them were really confident and brave.”

> Has meeting French and Spanish pupils inspired you to the point that you would want to go and meet them in La Reunion and/or Andalusia?
“Meeting everyone has made me even more excited to see them again. I would really really love to go to Reunion and Spain to obviously see all the landscapes and their culture but mainly so I can see all the people again because they were so nice and we made really good friends. I really miss them!”

> What did you learn about French and/or Spanish culture?
“I learned that in Spain they do a lot of singing and dancing.”
“I learned the Spanish have dinner at 9pm -11pm. They also sing a lot.”
“The Spanish like singing and are a lot more confident than us in Britain."
“They don’t do IT or Home Economics in Spain.”
“I learned that in Spain school starts early and finishes early so they can sleep in the afternoon.”

> How does your French and willingness to communicate compares with theirs?
“I thought the pupils from Spain were really good at English and French. Everybody I thought was quite good at communication together. I found communicating was sometimes a bit awkward between two but when they were lots of people together it was just like being with your friends.”
“Their English is a lot better than our French. We were both quite shy speaking in other languages but sometimes she would speak to me and we’d understand each other.”
“They are a lot better at English than I am at French. If I had to say something really confusing I would use Google Translate to help but I didn’t really use it.”

“The house seems really lonely and quiet and it was nice being busy all the time.”
